Cover, formatting, distribution and setup, done properly, in your name.
Publishing a book involves dozens of small decisions, and getting one of them wrong can lose you sales or rights. Our self publishing services take care of the design, formatting and distribution setup so your book looks professional on the shelf and on the screen, while the accounts, the rights and the royalties stay in your name.
Self publishing means you keep your rights and your royalties, and you pay for the professional work that a traditional publisher would otherwise do. Our job is that professional work: cover design, interior formatting, ISBNs, metadata and distribution setup, all registered in your name. We are not a hybrid publisher and we do not take a share of your sales. The whole sequence is laid out on the how it works page.
Publishing works best on a manuscript that has been properly edited. If yours has not been, we will say so and suggest the right level of editing for your draft before design starts. Books with special needs, such as full colour cookbooks or illustrated children's books, have their own pages because the formatting and printing decisions are different.
A published book is not the finish line. Once your book is live, our book marketing services can help it find readers, with a budget you control and plain monthly reporting. Many authors plan the launch while the book is still in production, and we are happy to quote both together.
A cover designed for your genre and your readers, with 3 cover concepts to choose from, plus up to 3 rounds of revisions on the concept you pick.
Clean, readable layouts for paperback, hardcover and eBook that meet the technical requirements of each platform.
We help you register ISBNs in your name and write the title, description, categories and keywords that help readers find your book.
Your book listed for print on demand and eBook sale through major retailers and library channels, with the accounts owned by you.
Optional narration, editing and distribution of an audiobook edition, quoted separately based on length.
All source files, print-ready PDFs and a plain guide to managing your book after it is live.
Step by step, with your approval at every stage.
Share the manuscript, your genre and which editions you want. If the manuscript is not yet edited, we will say so.
A clear quote listing each item, what is included and what is not. No obligation.
Cover concepts and interior proofs arrive for your review. You approve each one before we move on.
We set up your accounts, upload the files and order a physical proof copy so you can hold the book before it goes on sale.
When you approve the proof, the book goes live. You receive every file and the logins to your own accounts.
Anything not listed as included is quoted separately. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for what happens if plans change.
We do not publish prices. Every project is quoted in writing after a free consultation, because every book is different. The quote lists exactly what is included and what is not, and it does not change unless you change the scope. There is no obligation to go ahead.
Read our Refund and Cancellation Policy for what happens if you change your mind, and the quote and payment questions on our FAQ page.
Readers forgive a plain cover more readily than typos on page one. Editing before publishing protects your reviews and your reputation.
If the retail accounts, ISBNs or files are in someone else's name, you depend on them forever. Insist that everything is registered to you. Ours is.
Readers judge a book in a second, and a cover that does not look like other books in its category gets scrolled past. Design for your readers, not just for your taste.
The title, subtitle, description, categories and keywords are how readers find a book online. Rushed metadata makes a good book invisible.
Colours, margins and spine text can look different on paper. Always hold a physical proof before the book goes on sale.
Many publishing projects take around 4 to 8 weeks from final manuscript to publication, depending on the editions you choose and how quickly you approve proofs. Dates are estimates and we confirm them in your quote.
